The estate is an ecologically rich sub-tropical forest andis home to over 200 species of birds and spectacular indigenous wild life including Bushbuck, Vervet monkeys and Banded Mongoose.

NatureZimbali has several natural spring water lakes, which create a beautiful habitat for the birds, a host of butterflies and a wide variety of indigenous plant life.
Animal life within the forest reserve includes bush buck, blue duiker, bushbaby, vervet monkey, banded mongoose and even wild pig. |
